A Walk in Their Shoes October 1-31
This virtual walk-a-thon event challenges participants to pledge to walk 20 miles throughout the month of October. This distance symbolizes the pervasive nature of domestic abuse and honors victims everywhere. It highlights the alarming statistic that nearly 20 people are physically abused by an intimate partner each minute in the United States, according to the National Center for Injury Prevention Control.
