All Directors of Administration supervise daily support operations and keep offices running smoothly. But Dianne DeFilippis, Hope’s Door Director of Administration, does so much more. As a former Hope’s Door youth educator with a degree in Behavioral Science and a Master’s degree in Counseling, Dianne brings a high level of empathy to her role. “Dianne is always listening, and trying to understand our feelings as well as our work needs,” says Emily DePauw, Hope’s Door Development Associate. Dianne incorporates what she observes and learns from the individuals working at Hope’s Door to guide not only her actions but the actions of the entire staff team, inspiring all of us to cooperate more and work smarter. What’s more, Dianne gives 110% to Hope’s Door while raising two young children, supporting the Bronx Zoo, mastering complex Lego constructions, and volunteering in her son’s school. “Even during the pandemic pandemonium, Dianne always provides helpful guidance with a smile and a joke. When we first returned to the office, Dianne gave out beautiful masks that lifted our spirits and made us fashionable, more evidence of Dianne’s constant care and concern for all of us,” says Director of Community Services, Janmarie Brown.
