Stacey Neumann joined Hope’s Door in 2018 as Director of Legal Services. She was promoted to Chief of Legal Services and Human Resources in Janaury 2022. Neumann provides legal representation and advocacy for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and stalking. She is responsible for recruiting, training and overseeing staff attorneys, pro bono attorneys and paralegals. As part of the Senior Management Team, Neumann’s duties include coordination with partner agencies to assure trauma-informed support services for survivors. Prior to Hope’s Door, Neumann spent 17 years at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney where she investigated and prosecuted crimes of intimate partner violence and elder abuse. While at the District Attorney’s Office, she was promoted to First Deputy Bureau Chief. In 2006, she was named Employee of the Year by District Attorney Charles J. Hynes. Neumann received her B.A from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1993 and a J.D from Brooklyn Law School in 1996.
